| 授業概要 Course Description |
This course focuses on current Japanese pop culture. You will learn Japanese culture, language and the Japanese way of thinking in the context of movies, manga and music. You will also see Japan from the past, present and future in a way that is both fun and educational.

| 到達目標 Class Goals |
The aim of this course is twofold. Firstly, students will examine Japanese pop culture in an effort to gain a deeper understanding of “Modern Japan”. Secondly, Students will learn to better express themselves. International students will improve their Japanese skills, while Japanese students will polish their linguistic skills allowing them to communicate in Japanese and English effectively.

① In this class, Japanese students and international students will be paired to discuss various topics. International students should have a basic understanding of Japanese language, at least one semester of college level Japanese. Japanese students should be able to express themselves in clear Japanese or English, ideally those interested in Japanese language teaching. ② If the number of Japanese students exceeds international students, participating students will be determined by the teacher at the first class.
