| 授業概要 Course Description |
Practical Journalism in English will introduce you to some of the skills needed to write for newspapers and magazines in English. It will also give you the ability as readers to better understand how the mass media shapes the way we see the world - a necessary skill to understand modern society.
Many of the forms of writing we will study share similarities with writing in the business world. These skills are transferable to many situations outside the classroom - they will help you both as writers and readers in your professional lives.

Evaluation Criteria |
There will be four written assignments during the semester: a travel article, a news story, a profile of a person and an opinion article. Each assignment will be worth 25% of the final grade for this course.
There is no final exam.
