授業概要   Course Description How to Make a Short Film: Step-by-Step Guide: A short film is a short movie with a clear, compelling story. Short films garner Oscars, launch careers, and dazzle audiences. A short film is an excellent calling card for a first-time filmmaker or a fun side-project for an established writer. Film scripts are the foundation of the most dynamic art form today. We use a lecture/workshop model, to view films, and develop short scripts. We will read and critique work and analyze professional scripts. At the end of the semester, you should have a well-crafted short film script with three dimensional characters and story structure that can be made into a short film.
到達目標   Class Goals We will learn the art of developing short film scripts and how to enjoy the short film experience.
We will investigate important elements of how films are constructed (e.g. characters, conflict, narrative, story, plot, key scenes.
Demonstrate the ability to read a film scene and practice a range of filmmaking skills such as framing a shot, using camera movement and editing a sequence.
Pitch and market your short film idea in succinct video and visual document pitches.
