| 授業概要 Course Description |
This course introduces students to a geographic perspective to contextualise the consequences of past economic decisions and to harvest insight into contemporary future-shaping opportunities as the world emerges from the coronavirus pandemic. Central to this geographic mindset is the notion of space which students will deconstruct before considering the role that various inputs and actors play in creating the economy and the organisation of economic activities. Students will then apply this spatial understanding in discussions revealing the blurred lines amongst economic, political and sociocultural processes.

Upon course completion, students will be able to use their spatial perspective to help explain the dynamics of capitalism, to perceive ways in which economic relationships across space are established, organised and maintained, and to recognise how economic processes are not isolated occurrences.
