| 授業概要 Course Description |
This class adopts an interdisciplinary approach in examining the nexus between culture and tourism by considering sociological, anthropological and psychological theoretical positions. The analysis begins by dissecting culture before exploring similarities and differences amongst cultures. Focus then shifts to investigating the evolution of the tourist industry, pre-Covid trends and detangling the industry’s components before examining tourist motivation, decision-making processes and expectations. Finally, students are asked to demonstrate how understanding different cultural demands can facilitate economic opportunities by a Cultural Tour.

2. highlight similarities and differences across cultures
3. explain the tourist industry evolution
4. outline the tangled components of the tourist industry
