| 授業概要 Course Description |
The objective of this course is that students will understand the characteristics of and issues on small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Japan. Students will also understand challenges for start-up firms and their possible solutions.

Students will be able to orally and in written format present their educated opinions on Japanese SMEs, and to present suggestions like a business consultant on corporate management and strategy of an imaginary SME in Japan.

Most of the class materials used for this course will be in English and some supplementary information will be in Japanese. Students are expected to have taken (or currently be taking) some courses on corporate management and strategy, and to be alert on news on SMEs and business environment in Japan.
