授業に関する注意事項
Remarks for Class
All students, regardless of their English language levels, must speak in English at all times. Failure to participate actively and enthusiastically in class will likely result in failure of the course. If students do not complete the reading assignments, they will not be able to participate actively and enthusiastically in class, so students should make sure they are fully prepared for class. One recommendation is to schedule enough reading time during the week.

All students must have their own copy of the text. The text is available in the university co-op bookstore. Note that different publications of the book might have different page numbers, which will cause problems in class.

Students should check manaba regularly, including before the first class, to check for information and resources for the class.

All assignments, unless otherwise indicated, must be submitted through manaba ON TIME. Late assignments will not be accepted. Do not email assignments to the instructor.

No more than two undocumentable/unexcused absences are allowed. Absence of over two classes is grounds for failure. Tardiness of three times equals one absence.

Note that this schedule is tentative and therefore subject to change.
