| 授業概要 Course Description |
This course focuses on listening and speaking strategies that will promote your ability to discuss ideas, develop presentation skills and debate a variety of topics. You will conduct listening, textbook, and project-based activities outside of class, and use the content for discussions in class. All four skills would be practiced in order to increase your confidence in communicating effectively in English.

The course will help students improve their ability to communicate effectively in English, particularly in respect of their ability to make presentations, to understand how to effectively employ presentation and speaking techniques; to develop an understanding of the external cultural influences that shape and inform speaking techniques and also help students to develop an appreciation for, and understanding of other cultures and the ability to compare and contrast these cultures with their own.

Classes will be held on campus, in class and face to face, unless otherwise instructed by the university's administration. Regular attendance is very important in this class and you are expected to attend all classes. You will need to prepare your homework before class so that you can be ready for class discussions.
