| 授業概要 Course Description |
This course explores the relationship between media and identities, and especially the relationship between media and gender. Of particular concern is the way in which the media, e.g. TV and films, generate and circulate images of masculinity and femininity. The course examines ideas about gender identities within historical context, as well as dynamics of our everyday life experiences.

Students must attend the first class for the registraion procedure.
This is a highly participatory course that students have read the text and reading materials before each class. Each student is expected to be actively involved in class discussions and required to demonstrate an example of popular culture that corresponds with particular readings and discussions in class as case studies.
