| 授業概要 Course Description |
海外協定校連携科目群は、本学の海外の協定校と共同で開講される科目で、グローバルな視野とスキルを育成するための取り組みです。渡航留学前後の連携科目としての役割を果たし、留学プログラムへの準備や留学後の英語力・コミュニケーション能力、異文化理解力の向上を目指しています。また、留学機会を得にくい学生もVirtual で英語圏の大学の授業を受けることができます。
この科目はハワイ大学マノア校大学入学準備講座として開講される科目です。ハワイにおけるアジア系アメリカ人、ハワイ文化と歴史、移民に焦点を当て異文化理解について知見を深めます。ハワイ大学とのライブ配信授業はWeek7からWeek12に集中して実施します。その期間は木曜日1限・土曜日１限ともハワイ大学の教員から授業を受けます。Week１から６までは、木曜日の授業でハワイ大学の授業を受ける準備、そしてWeek13以降は科目のまとめを明学担当教員と行います。詳細は添付書類、科目概要サイトから参照してください。
This online synchronous course is offered with the University of Hawaii Manoa's Hawaii English Language Program (HELP). This course is designed to provide students with multiple opportunities to improve learners language skills, especially listening, speaking, and reading, while studying Hawaiian culture, Asian migration, and other aspects of ethnic studies. The course includes discussions with students from the University of Hawaii to discuss class topics.
This course is recommended for students with a TOEFL score of 450-500 or a GTEC score of 470 level. The purpose of this course is to deepen understanding of multiculturalism by focusing on Asian American, Hawaiian culture and history, and immigration in Hawaii. Simultaneously, it aims to build Academic English skills necessary for studying at overseas universities and provides opportunities to discuss a variety of issues. Completion of this course will help prepare students for future study abroad programs.

▸ハワイ大学の授業をzoom経由ライブ配信で履修します。ハワイ大学の担当教員の指導を受けます。レベル１科目は明学生単独クラス（ハワイ大学TA参加あり）です。
▸共通のハワイ大学のLMSを介して教材にアクセスし、課題、現地学生・現地TAとリアルタイムのコミュニケーションを取りながら、現地の学習環境を体験できます。
▸授業は横浜校舎のPC教室で実施します。白金校舎所属の学生は遠隔での履修も可能です。科目概要サイトから詳細を確認してください。
