| 授業概要 Course Description |
本科目では19世紀～20世紀のイギリス及びイギリスと関係の深い国々の作家の小説を教科書に、３年生から受講する演習授業の準備として小説の解釈を行い卒業論文を書くための基礎力を修得します。
小説の構成要素を学び、個人やグループで教科書の一部を担当し、分析した内容を発表する方法を学習します。またディスカッションに参加したり、自分の考えを文献資料を用いてまとめる練習もします。ライティング課題は隔週で提出し、添削後返却されますので、それらを学期末エッセイに発展させる方法も学びます。
授業は英語で行い、適宜日本語で説明します。

本科目の到達目標は以下のとおりです。
・文学に対する自分の考えを、客観的な資料を用いて論理的に示す英語のエッセイが作成できる。
・読んだテキストの要点や概要を自分の英語表現で説明したり、テキストの主題や批評内容を述べることができる。
・英語によるプレゼンテーションの基礎を練習することで、論理的に構成された発表を行い、効果的な視覚資料が作成できる。
