授業概要   Course Description This academic writing course aims to build on the foundational skills students acquired in the first semester, preparing them for more complex writing assignments. Starting with an overview of assignment guidelines and academic terminology, the course then guides students through writing response and argumentative essays. The focus is on constructing solid arguments, creating well-structured paragraphs, and using accurate language and syntax. Moving forward, the course emphasizes research paper writing, teaching students the techniques of paraphrasing, summarizing arguments, and synthesizing information from multiple sources, along with following citation guidelines. Students will also learn to craft outlines, draft and revise their papers, and communicate their research findings effectively, equipping them with the skills needed for academic advancement.

To complete this course successfully, students must participate actively and attend all sessions. If a student is absent and misses any lecture or assignment, they will be responsible for making up the missed work. Access to a computer is mandatory for this course. Additionally, students are required to have a computer and should familiarize themselves with Google Sheets and Documents.
