Course Description In this course, you will first learn about the participatory planning method called the Logical Framework Approach (LFA). LFA has become the standard project planning method for various areas such as health, agriculture, education, environment, and poverty reduction. Its use has spread to various organizations outside.

The methodology's characteristic lies in addressing the problems of people experiencing hardship or suffering (sufferers), focusing on specific goals, and adopting a step-by-step, participatory planning approach. All planning processes are visually presented, enabling active participation from all participants.

Next, you will learn about Project Cycle Management (PCM), including project monitoring and evaluation.

Furthermore, you will engage in practical exercises on Participatory Rural Appraisal (PRA), a prominent approach in the field of participatory development. This will deepen your understanding of participatory methodologies and development, especially when compared with the Logical Framework Approach (LFA).

Throughout the class, I will keep my explanations concise, allowing more time for your discussions and collaborative work in teams and/or panels. Your active participation is crucial for your learning in this course.

The schedule and timing for the class will be set as follows: The course, spanning three hours per session on Wednesday afternoon from 3rd period to 5th period, will unfold over five consecutive weeks, starting in the first week of the autumn semester.
