| 授業概要 Course Description |
This course aims to develop students’ four basic skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) through learning subjects such as comparative education, comparative cultural studies, developmental psychology, computers, and various other issues. Students will also systematically build essential vocabulary and learn basic expressions by using supplementary materials. CLIL method with translanguaging (utilizing more than one language within a classroom) approach is used in class. Students will conduct a variety of tasks in class while learning the contents at the same time.

Upon successful completion of the course students are expected to be able to:
-Introduce themselves and talk about familiar, everyday conversation topic
-Build a vocabulary of 2400 words and phrases
-Interpret simple Japanese phrases and expressions (300) into English
-Become autonomous English learners who can learn languages independently.
-Demonstrate familiarity with comparative education, comparative cultural studies, computers, and developmental psychology in English
