授業概要   Course Description The purpose of this class is to give students the ability to communicate in Japanese at an intermediate level. This course is designed for students who have completed at least three or four semesters of formal training (no less than 300 hours) at the college level. Students are expected to possess the abilities to read and write simple essays and communicate smoothly in everyday situations. Students will read and listen to texts about Japanese culture and society to develop reading and listening comprehension skills. In addition, students will learn how to communicate and express their opinion in Japanese through presentation, discussion, and writing practices.
到達目標   Class Goals Students should be able to give a short presentation, and to communicate both in polite and casual language according to the circumstances.
Students should be able to read and understand texts on a wide range of topics and write short essays.

Remarks for Class		 1.Students must attend the class orientation session at their first class. (The notice will be posted on manaba course news.)
2. Students are required to attend all classes and participate in class activities. Any absence will affect your grade and if you miss more than one-third of the classes of the course, you will not receive credit. (Three times lateness equals one absence.)
3. In principle, there is no makeup lesson or test in this course.
4. Students must bring their own computer. Materials will be distributed, and assignments will be submitted via Microsoft Teams.
