| 授業概要 Course Description |
This course is an introduction to the analysis of labor markets in Japan, which has adjusted its features to the global economic trend. Students will learn a wide range of labor issues that they are now and will be encountering on a daily basis (e.g., job searches, (ir)regular employment, minimum wage, education inequality, and immigration). After the basic concepts and principles of labor economics are briefly explained, we will analyze the latest research articles and discuss the related research questions.

This course is in the lower division of the Economics Program. If you want to study theoretical parts of labor economics in-depth, I recommend you to take this course and then take “Labor Economics and Public Policy” in upper division.
