授業概要   Course Description 【The course is designed as "Self-directed learning", thus it is suitable for students who want to challenge yourself to engage in social activities outside the campus, experience the planning and strategies practice with your teammate (not taught by teachers) and interested in social entrepreneurship based on your real-world experience.】 Thus, it is desirable to limit the maximum number of students up to 20 ppl.

Throughout the whole sessions, students will learn the concept of service learning and experience service activities as a direct experience. Students are requires to directly engage in volunteer (service) experience - work as a volunteer -as mandatory during sessions. In addition to the direct “service” experience, students will deepen their learning through (i) Self-directed Learning, (ii) Peer-to-peer Learning and (iii) Experiential Learning. All students are required to join dialogue and group-work in order to think their own service actions and strategy.
This series of lectures requires out-of class volunteer experience at least 2 times by mid-July if the situation allows. Students will be required to develop your volunteer action idea by your own small group (around 4-6 member in each group)

1. Understand the concept of "citizenship" by participating in a real world situation
2. Acquire the basic skills and the attitude necessary to be a service-learning practitioner, and
3. Understand the relationship between yourself and the society (social issues) and consider your own responsibility toward the society through the participation in volunteer activities

FIrst three-four sessions are lecture styles and workshop, and other sessions are generally workshop and groupwork based on lecturer's instruction.
教科書   Texts There are only reference materials, and no textbook. While you will be asked to read journals/papers regarding "service learning" and "21st century skills" during the sessions.
- Learning Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) are required to read.
