授業に関する注意事項
Remarks for Class
An ability to do translate from Japanese to English is a plus in many occupations today. This class will NOT make you into a professional translator or interpreter. That would require much more training at an advanced level. However, you will learn if you have an aptitude for translating or interpreting, giving you plenty of practice in skills that will be of use in the future in a range of careers. Some of the topics will be based on current news items. As part of your daily routine, you should read English-language news stories on different topics and listen to radio news bulletins in English. YouTube is another valuable resource. I will share information about apps I use for Mac OS and iOS. Share your recommendations. Window and Android users should share recommendations.
