| 授業概要 Course Description |
No man is an island. While that saying refers to individuals, it is also true for states. International relations have become part of our daily lives in our globalized world. Geographical boundaries no longer limit events; in many cases, their effects reverberate worldwide. Even so, legal issues that arise from the interaction between parties in different jurisdictions tend to remain, to a certain extent, the same regardless of the era. History is a spiral, after all.
This class will teach students the various legal issues that arise from international relations. It will not be limited to state actors; it takes a broad approach to cover multiple topics. Hence, it is not a specialized class for each topic; it is an introduction to help students decide if they want to delve deeper into any covered topics.
