| 授業概要 Course Description |
This course introduces advanced concepts in peace and security studies, with a focus on the atomic bombing of Hiroshima. Students will visit Hiroshima, including the Peace Museum, Peace Park, the memorial service on August 6th, and other sites in order to gain a deep understanding of the destructive power of nuclear weapons and their impact on peace and security

| 到達目標 Class Goals |
Students completing this course should be able to correctly and quickly explain the fundamentals of deterrence, nuclear deterrence, and the immense suffering that the atomic bombing caused in Hiroshima. Additionally, students should understand the causes of war rooted in offense/defense theory and how these causes can be minimized.
